Cabins, chalets and condos at the doorstep of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, managed by a local team.
Gatlinburg is the little mountain town that sits right at the doorstep of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and it’s one of our favorite places to send guests. You can spend the morning on a trail, the afternoon strolling the Parkway and the evening back at your cabin with the mountains all around you. Casago Smoky Mountains is a local team, and we manage cabins, chalets and condos in and around Gatlinburg so you can enjoy the town like a local does.
Gatlinburg puts you about as close to the national park as you can get. The park itself is free to enter, and there are waterfalls, scenic drives and hiking trails for every ability level. Downtown is walkable, and the Gatlinburg Trolley makes it easy to get around without moving your car. Whether you’re planning a couples’ getaway, a family trip or a weekend with friends, Gatlinburg gives you mountain scenery and plenty to do in the same place.
Staying in a vacation rental instead of a hotel gives you room to spread out, a kitchen for easy breakfasts, and a quiet place to come home to after a busy day in town. Many of our Gatlinburg guests pick a condo for a short walk or drive to downtown, or a cabin when they want a bit more privacy up in the hills.
Gatlinburg is a gateway to the park, which is free to enter. Plan a hike, find a waterfall or take a scenic drive.
Ride the gondola from the Parkway up Anakeesta Mountain for the Treetop Skywalk, the AnaVista Tower, mountain coasters, ziplines, gardens, dining and shopping. After dark, Astra Lumina offers a night walk through the forest.
Take the SkyLift chairlift up to the Gatlinburg SkyBridge, known as the longest pedestrian cable bridge in North America, plus the SkyTrail and big views over town.
Walk through underwater tunnels with sharks, see the penguins and visit the touch tanks. It’s a great rainy-day pick for families.
This 8-mile loop winds past galleries, studios and shops where you can meet local artisans and pick up something handmade.
Gatlinburg has events all year, from craft fairs to holiday festivals. Check our local events calendar to see what’s on during your stay.

When you’re picking a rental, decide what matters most to your group: a short trip into town, a quiet spot in the hills, or room for everyone under one roof. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll point you to rentals that fit.
Coming back to a cabin after a day in the park is part of the fun. Plan a slow breakfast in your own kitchen, pack a picnic for the trail, and leave the evenings open for a relaxed dinner in town or a night in with the family.
