Operating under the national Casago umbrella, the Smoky Mountains franchise combines the backing, technology, and standards of an international hospitality brand with deep, authentic East Tennessee local expertise.
The Origin (Late 1990s): Casago was founded by Steve Schwab, a former U.S. Army Special Operations veteran. It started in Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point), Mexico, when Steve took over a small property rental business (Cyndi’s Beach Home Rentals).
Growth & Technology: Steve grew the business into Mexico’s largest vacation rental management company. Along the way, he pioneered the Owner-Centric™ philosophy—prioritizing complete transparency, home maintenance, and high hospitality standards. This led to the development of StreamlineVRS, one of the premier property management software systems in the vacation rental industry today.
Established in 2021: Casago expanded its franchise network into East Tennessee, launching Casago Smoky Mountains.
Local Leadership: The Smoky Mountains branch was founded and is managed by a local ownership group—Blake Dailey, Abe Dehart, and Austin Williams.
Deep Local Ties: The leadership team brings extensive experience in East Tennessee real estate development, long-term rentals, and vacation management. Notably, the team includes a 6th-generation Sevierville native, providing authentic local knowledge and deep-rooted care for the Smoky Mountain community.
